Orienteering race 44:08 [5] *** 6.6 km (6:41 / km)
shoes: Inov8 x talon 212 #4 (blue)

Easter middle. Tough course. Started out ok but Brodie caught me 2 mins at 10 after I lost 30secs or so there. We then smashed through the next bit of the course but I blew up big time in the physical last 3rd. Then lost 50secs on #23 which cost me 6th place in the end. Finished 9th

Orienteering race 17:57 [5] 4.2 km (4:16 / km)
shoes: Nike Lunar Tempo

Easter Prologue. Not a good time, was super tired from the very long drive and made lots of stupid mistakes, including a huge 50sec whopper on 24.

NOY 1 at Fairley Dams. Alright run but didn't feel fast or strong through the terrain in places. As soon as it got a little rough underfoot I was stumbling around like a rookie. Nav was alright but I was slightly off on a few, didn't really lose any time on them though. Hesitant coming into 15, wasn't quite sure how to attack it. Then got pushed by the green into 16 and found another control first. Didn't lose much time though. Good hit out before Easter.

Having looked at the splits now, I'm pretty happy with a few legs in particular. Was a fair amount quicker over the others through 4, 5, 6, which is where I didn't feel particularly good through the terrain. Good to be a min quicker 10 to 11, although I don't know who went around or straight. However on the common legs with the Hard Short, Josh was mostly a bit quicker than me.
