Running 2:15:00 [2] 14.42 km (9:22 / km) +1016m 6:55 / km

Long run with Magnus up to Mount Fromme, really enjoyed the trails... would be fun to have a map of the area as there are some flatter bits and the forest is generally open (but it is generally a bit steep).

Warm up including some strides

BC cross country champs - apparently after 400 meters I was in last (but holding on to the back of the pack), then came the massive hill. After that thomas tells me I passed about 3 people, then 2 more on the steep downhill. From there I slowly climbed up through a series of runners for the first 2 laps (2km each). By the 3rd lap I got ahead of the string of people I was near and the gap to the next group was so large I could not see them, but I held an ok pace by myself. Relatively even splits on the three laps, with a bit faster on the first.

Stretching/exercises 1:10:00 [1]

Runners Yoga at False Creek - hard class with lots of plank and some balancing (when he told us to close our eyes I became very wobbly...). Less slower stuff than usual, and a lot of transitions. Enjoyed the class but felt a bit sluggish at first, then my body woke up.

Ran by myself down the closest stairs to wreck beach (there is a new sign telling you not to stare and that you should not take unauthorized pics - given the weather this was not a problem). Ran along the beach/trail to the anthropology stairs, up those, then down again, then continuing along the beach to the main stairs and up those.

Back up on campus running around on roads, did the workout that Thomas's group did earlier. 5 times 2 mins with 1 min break. Always tried to jog near the end of the break to have a bit of a rolling start.

4 times 5 minute intervals with 1 minute rest (kinda more of a tempo) on the road with Nate and Thomas well ahead, and me just behind Mike and Rachel with Rob just behind me. Great to run with a group, but should have eaten something more easily digestible for lunch (its always the conundrum... eat more real substantial food or eat some carby snacks that do not fill you too much (but then you might be tempted to eat more later))
