Biking 3:30:00 [2] 72.0 km (2:55 / km)

Biking to/from horseshoe bay, and some biking on the island to get near the trail.

Running 1:15:00 [3]

Running up mount gardner with nate (~45 mins), steeper than I remembered and stinking hot... then down after hanging out at the top with nice views for a bit (~30 mins). Nice swim in the lake at the bottom... luckily I did not discover there were leeches in the lake till after I got out.

Stretching/exercises 1:00:00 [1]

Runners yoga, lots of transitions, stretches of the hip flexor and chair position. Stayed away from straining the foot, it appears not to like lateral strain.

Note

I finally got my foot looked at today, after increased pain near the base of the first metatarsal as it was stiff enough in the morning to induce limping. I also have had a bump on the side of the same foot near the peroneal attachment that may have been growing (slowly so its hard to tell), and it also has had some ongoing minor plantar fasciatis. The other foot seems to be afflicted with none of these problems... so not sure what I did to my left foot to make it like that. I wined enough, and expressed some concern over the increasing size of the bump, so they decided to x-ray it.

Running 20:00 [3]

Warm up, forgot what time they started so showed up late and so ran to where they were just in time to start the intervals, but I missed the form drills ;(

Running 18:11 [4] 4.8 km (3:47 / km)

Road intervals around the quiet residential streets at the top of 8th. Not sure how exact their measuring is on the distance, and there is one short steep hill just before the 800 meter mark, pretty flat before that, and some downhill near the end. Rests were supposed to be around 3mins, but I was near the end of the faster group. Not feeling that sprightly after a few faster days in a row. Will likely take a few easier days to give my foot a bit of a rest (had it x-rayed today) but it is likely just a tendon/joint issue, so I should take my anti-inflammatories and be nice to it.

Biking 1:00:00 [2]

biking to/from granville island, and in between to get dinner.

Orienteering 34:00 [4]

WET at Granville island, took a slightly different route choice at the beginning, then running near people on the further out parts. Lots of people out on granville island, and had to walk behind some tourists for a few meters once in a narrow spot.

Running 18:00 [3]

Control pick up

Running 52:00 [3]

Club run with John M who showed up at the last minute, just when I was about to run by myself. He put up with running with me today as none of the fast boys group was there.

Running 25:00 [4]

Bit of a tempo, trying to make sure John got a tiny bit of a workout

Biking 1:30:00 [2]

Biking to downtown to line up for ages to submit my passport application (well first you line up to get a number, and talk to some guy for 1 minute to check what you were trying to do, then you stayed in the crowded waiting room waiting for your number to be called). On the plus side it looks like I will get the passport next week. Then biked around on some other errands then back home.
