Orienteering (US Relay Champs) 35:07 [5] 3.82 km (9:12 / km) +155m 7:39 / km

Third leg for 8 point team with Aims Coney, Maria and JJ Cote. (Brown - so called) Ran first two legs hard but stupidly - trying to stay close to the line like the day before, taking too much climb and too much slowing down to read the map. Made decision to change tactics after #2, and run least-resistance routes as hard as I could. Did much better after that - better focused and all cylinders firing. Picked up three places. Failed to get stopwatch started, so no splits.

Orienteering (GMOC A meet) 1:21:31 [4] 6.34 km (12:51 / km) +230m 10:53 / km
spiked:12/15c slept:6.0

Lost my rythm early after being ensnared by a strand of barbed wire fence that cost me 90 seconds to distentangle myself from. Physically and mentally, felt defeated after that. Orienteered rather stupidly - ignored good path routes in favor of following the purple line.

Trail run (some roads) 43:00 [4] 4.74 mi (9:04 / mi) +150m 8:16 / mi
ahr:158 max:176

Berlin Rd, 33 Trail, Haskins/Heekins. Evening run in 50's temperatures. Felt good. Varied pace from easy to hard. Massaged right calf extensively afterwards, so it's sore this morning.
