Day 2 JK

More open fells with a little more definition to the terrain but very cold and cloudy - at the last minute the organisers invoked the no jacket no run rule so without a light jacket I ran in my x-country ski jacket which was fine until the last 2km downhill section where I got a little warm!

no significant errors just a bit of hesitation at the end of a few legs ended up 22nd on the day which was much improved from day 1

Eddie Harwood leader on Day 1 MPed so got a place there!

30th overall for the two days - need a 3rd day - tomorrow is a relay but not entered

Day 1 of the Jk in South Wales

Open karst moorland terrain - screwed up the 2nd control not going far enough up the hill and lost 4-5 minutes OK for a while then 8 before 7 another 4 minutes. Fast runner cme by but could not hold on on the long leg to 9 (2.5km) with limited route choice so straight line and just a little off at the end. 53rd out of 95 finishers so an average result

Hard work in the heather - hundreds of pits and dolines

From Dave & Sheena's up onto the Downs and across to the Avon Gorge to look at the Suspension Bridge and back -

Quite few other runners out and a few walkers and lucky people heading off to work.
