Blacklands Farm SOG.

Another fun 1:5000 map with a cool forest section and odd bit of XC. Just trying to be very aggressive and stick the red line as much as possible. Scrappy on first few then got to grips with the nav. Died badly after the running section making the last 5min a bit grim.

Couldn't resist the opportunity to cycle on some different roads and with the forecast looking crap for the next few days thought I should get some cycling in. Unsurprisingly a little tired but very enjoyable.

Easy with an extremely laborious 7x1/1 on the dirt track. Legs very heavy from cycling, combined with lack of speed in general made for some clunky feeling efforts.

Nice mix of road and off road. Including one very steep road climb. 850m +100 avg of 12% but the last 400m is over 14%. This cooked the legs a bit and struggled on the rest of the steep climbs.

A few issues trying to determine if I was in the correct place as less distinct features. Probably should of used MapRun but then you just get within 20m and sorted, so not completely keen.

Good fun though as the forest is in good shape at the moment and only one genuine mistake I think.
