Hilly Fartlek around Stanmer. Perfect place for it with forest, hills and mud so just running on feel. Feeling fairly good.
Did a easy WU jog with Laura to begin with then set about at a steady pace then 4x3,2,1(2,1,1) then steady again afterwards.
Gutted not to be running Southerns here. Couldn't think of a better place to do a 15k XC. Unfortunately not worth the cost of flights+paying to join Brighton again. Think I have found a race 10 times shorter to do instead.
The optimistic plan at start of October was to average 80 miles until new year. This is based off a 6 week period in March I had doing 80 and was flying by the end. I definitely got carried away though. I started running 95-100 and feeling okay. Once I started doing this I felt guilty dropping down to 80/85 as felt like I could do more so generally kept going. I was motivated to try and keep the high mileage more due to statistical/aesthetically pleasing reasons than I felt it was best for me (maybe AP has it's downfalls).
Since beginning of October I have averaged 88 (91 since November) which is quite a bit more than planned. For the last week and a half everything has felt so hard so going to force myself to do less and instead try and get the pleasing feeling from running great times in sessions instead of mileage, and of course lots of food and drink in the next week.

HFW via Saughton for 6x1200(2:30) with Carcas.
Was bonking on the WU and feeling so tired which was not ideal. Hoping it was in the head not the legs.
Started rep 1 and it felt hard hitting 72s but managed it (nearly). Not helped by a classic Meadowbank back straight wind. Finished and realised Carcas was struggling too. It got harder but still managed 72s so no dropping out.

Meadowbank is a much nicer track than Saughton, a bit softer and not as muddy/slippy on the inside lane but it really does help having laps instead of looking at the GPS on the meadows so will probably be back here plenty of times.
Did the last rep topless as it was quite warm and then got told off for being topless.
