Lovely run winging it in the pentlands. Generally worked well some bracon to deal with and a brutal climb up Carnethy.

Realised I was going to be late for meeting point with Laura so from turnhouse was pushing fairly hard.

Maddy Moss race.

Well I thoroughly seem to have lost the little ability I had to run uphills. Got up the law struggling but okay but then all other climbs was left crawling. Think maybe bit of dehydration, a bit of not having the will to go into pain, a bit of a re-emergence of waffles but mostly just weak. Was in 5th a long way off a Westies guy and with Purko and SteveF on my tail. Then I got to the bits I love and the descending began.

Dug in on the really flat bit of the descent then starting flying on the steeper bits and managed to catch the Westies guy. Stayed behind a little bit as didn't know where to go but then smashed it past. Absolutely loved the last 4-5min of steep and often technical at times.

Managed to complete the 1-2-3-4 of orienteers with Kris, GG and Spongey. Also Hollie and Charlotte 1-2 in the women's showing who are the best.

Got the PB69ers call for a threshold session. Yet Peter bailed so I decided I didn't want to go round the meadows so headed for MASH#2. Was in flats so did hard effort on Radical Road and dry dam. Then bumped into Fallas and jogged up crow hill with him then back home.

Need to try and find some climbing legs before Wednesday. I was struggling on these.
