WOC long test

Set off at a fairly easy pace and made sure I nailed first 3. Caught Shminty as we wobbled at 4. Lead him and Emil then binned 1min on 5. Then by myself for the rest except for Duncan Archer for a little bit. Unfortunately binned 5min again at 12. I knew it was a hard leg and I had a plan but just slightly missed then relocated off wrong field.
Another 3min of mistakes in last section and in hindsight not being aggressive enough and then going nipple deep in a crossable marsh. Felt good running on final section though as Cherry tried to hunt me down.
I enjoyed the terrain minus the variability of marsh from really fast running to trying to remember how I won my Frosties swimming award when I was 10 years old.

WOC middle test

Went out aggressively and pretty shaky on one but then a bit better. Found first 8 fine seeing Bray about 20sec ahead. Ran hard on track to 9 had my plan of junction-rough open reentrant-control. Unfortunately at junction before mine the white forest was an open area and I just nailed it in ran off the map and had issues relocating. Lost 5min and the will so just jogged in with a half effort on the downhill run in. Need to have backup plans e.g compass to stop me being a dumbwit
Annoying as was doing okay but that is orienteering.

WOC sprint test. 5th Brit.

Felt good at the start running well. Pushed nicely on easy legs to begin with. First mistake was hitting some gardeny type bit to 6 and wasn't confident then couldn't find my spot on the map so had to stop and lost 5sec. Wrong route to 7 lost 3sec. Then lost time to 16 being slow up bank and 17 getting confused 3/4sec each. 19 ran down too early 7sec. RC to 22 maybe 5 sec.
Otherwise was just a bit slow at the end which is frustrating. Need to work on running uphill.

So about 27sec of non-running speed errors. Gonna try and keep track and see if this is normal or above or below average. Yet obvious room for improvement on top of the running.
