Got a bit of a head cold. A fair few other people in Edinburgh seemed to have it too. Not feeling too bad so left it all day and didn't get worse so wrapped up warm and headed out in the dark.
Legs feeling pretty good and apart from a small headache feeling good enough.

Arrochar Alps adventure with Liam and Mark. This is very tentatively a run because we probably spent 90min running 3 hours walking and 90min sliding. It was absolutely incredible with fresh snow and no wind so wasn't overly cold. The snow made it incredible slow going so we mostly settled in to just plod round and then slip and slide down the hill.
Above about 500m the cloud was down and I found the white everywhere very disorientating as at times you couldn't tell the difference between ground and sky. It made the navigation rather hard but apart from a few small wobbles I thought we did okay. I had troubles judging distance in the whiteouts and would often walk off small snowed over crags as I just couldn't perceive the changes in gradient. It was a weird sensation.
Was a fantastic day out though and happy to get 4 Munros under my belt which I think has doubled my tally.

The DOMS came back with a vengeance. I could barely walk and also feeling very tired. The first 200m were more of a waddle. Managed a 10min tempo but was unable to do some quicker stuff as my hamstrings were too sore so just went home.

5x1mile(2:30) with Dougie Selman, Neil Renault and Michael Crawley. All a similar pace which was good.
1,2,3,5 in 5:00 (3:05m/km) and 4 in 5:04 (3:08). Very happy with that.
1 and 2 were easy 3 a bit harder and 4 was a real struggle. 5 also horrendous but that mental edge will get you over the line.

Pathetic WD as my stomach was having none of it. No need for any more miles anyway.

Drills 10:00 [1] 1.0 km (10:00 / km)
