Note

Off home now after a pretty amazing holiday. Plenty more to see and do though. I will be slowly updating the training I've done so be prepared to scroll back a bit.
10 AM

Running 1:03:37 intensity: (45:27 @2) + (18:10 @5) 15.1 km (4:13 / km) +143m 4:01 / km
shoes: Asics Mileage 4

6x1k (90) along the river. Intending to run downstream with a tailwind but it was more undulating at times than ideal and wind changed by the end but wasn't too strong. So first few assisted then not.
Laura kept me company on the bike.

Nice final run in New Zealand :).

Run along cable bay walkway with John and Laura. Very hot and some very cool views over Nelson. Going very easy.

Run from our house near Farewell spit. Just exploring seeing where the beach was and then to some lakes.

Amazing run with Laura and John along the coast before farewell spit. Was quite misty which made it eerily pretty. Lot's of steep up and downs along the cliff.
Found a seal at the end :)

Some orienteering by Harwoods hole. Karst terrain. I have been doing all the training with no compass as don't have a southern one and the family don't have my side thumb. It has been okay until today. I got very disorientated going round the holes and got quite lost at one point.

Run down the hill from Harwoods. Went fairly hard on the MTB tracks to begin with and then really tried to do a bit of a progression on the gravel road down at the end.
Ran a sub 15min 5k. Hopefully not the only one of this year.

Easy run from our campsite in the morning. Plodded up a hill and out up the valley then just smashed it back down and having an amazing time running down the mountain bike tracks.

Nice easy run up Mount John from Tekapo and then onto the white bluffs (cliffs). Then walked with Laura round the cliffs getting attacked by some suicidal rabbits that live in the cliffs

Orienteering at Castle Hill. What an incredible place. I thought the rocks you get in Czech were amazing but these were just something else.
I ran the relay course from Nationals at a respectable pace and then did head to head gaffled course with Laura. Trying to run at her pace to make it interesting except I underestimated her a bit.
