Quick turnaround from getting home and heading out for a long run in the sun with Peter. Very sunny so tops off, new routes and feeling good made this very enjoyable.

Great day watching the relay and then heading back to Prague for a fantastic Pizza called the Anti-vegetarian and some beer.
Got some busy weekends in June with a lot of Orienteering I'm looking forward to.

EOC Middle B final.

Much better today. Clean through the first technical section and was up in 4th place at the beginning. Then I was clean for a few more but shedding time on some longer legs somehow. Just not aggressive enough. I had caught up a fair few people and overtook Laura at 6. Then was on my AP for 8 but just missed the control and ended up on a bit of a rock hunt again. Lost a minute and Laura caught me up again. I was clean from then on and really enjoying it. I love this terrain of nice forest and in and out of green.

EOC Middle Qual 39th

First start today and was looking forward to it. Had planned to take it steady get my head up then push. Nailed one and had a plan to 2. Then just missed the control by not much and lost 1min hunting around some green. Okay back into it and got 3 and 4 nicely then 5 was a stupidly easy 100m leg and I totally missed this massive line of rocks and found some other. After 1min realised I had missed found my line of rocks but couldn't work out what was what as they were identical so just started looking round most of them. Fastest split 25sec I was 3:16. Game over. Now just screwed my head on and minus a poor bearing to seven I had a very clean race. Taking many path options and avoiding the green. Gutted to screw it up so bad at the beginning but parts of the race were successful.
Looking at splits even if my whole race was like that last section I wouldn't ave qualified. Just not in the same league technically as these guys. Sticking to sprint,long and relay for the near future.

Training on the area next to Middle Qual. Had downhill intervals planned for us and walking up in-between.

Lovely forest-crap map. Really trying to push at race pace and had some bits of technical cleanliness but a couple of major mistakes too. Feeling good in the legs but had very few climbs so nothing that was going to tire me out too much.

Middle training around Vidnava. A course planned to go into the light green so was rough at times. I loved it though. Enjoy bashing through those green then into big open bits of forest. Feel quite at home in Czech forest after spending a bit of time here over the last few years. Hoping to put in a good performance on Thursday.
