Loop of the field then a bit up the stairs but walked most as I was carrying a bag of stuff.

AS Mass start.
Good group in the mass start. I lead from the front which was nice as the nav was challenging but even after gaffling and running well I could only get 20sec lead by 18. Then I ran to the wrong big block of trees and had to turn round and run back 70m (everyone else was following me so had to swerve) so now had a 3sec lead so we were all together at the long leg. It was me, Phillipp, Bogle and Oleg, me and Philipp went left, Oleg and Bogle right. Left was at least 1min quicker and I ran away from Philipp on the road so it was race over and I just took it steadier and nailed the nav to come in for the win.
Good courses mad better by a mass start. I needed the company as my legs were struggling at times.

Then straight back up the hill to do my shift on the start. I sat down ticking names for 90min and could barely stand up afterwards.

Spent the morning putting out controls then walking round checking my lot.
7:30-12. Then ran back to house to get ready and started soon as I was getting hungry.

Big weekend urban.
Good course for first 40min and then got a bit boring. Running okay but was feeling pretty tired by the end.

Then back out to finish off helping. Getting really tired by the end but the event seemed to go okay.

I was hoping night sprint would be a good way for me to get a good technical challenge.
No.2 lost 20sec oh dear.
Then was cleaner but I had an issue with my headtorch I often have that it doesn't stay on my head. I might try and get some of those plastic headstraps.
Then I missed a control out. It was again just on a line and I ran about 2m away but just didn't spot it. I did this walking in November too. I pick up the information of the control and it is simple I then seem to delete it and just look at harder ones.
HW managed to do a Hallam and not enter BUCS XC. So now instead have 2 sprint races at Scottish Sprint Champs to try and get some race practice.
Positives-Fitness seemed okay but was not stressing myself too much.

Intervals with Carnethy boys. My right ankle is really quite sore after XC and the solid right camber.
8x2.5(60sec). Felt hard but comfortable but not busting an absolute gut. Even paced trio.
