Cycle 1:00:00 [3] 15.0 mi (4:00 / mi)

Sheffield to Hope for fell race. Tried to take it easy but was quite a bit of climb! More on way back though.

Run race (Hope moors and tors) 1:14:28 [5] 8.5 mi (8:46 / mi) +460m 7:30 / mi

This was 2 fell races in one, a 20 mile route and a 8.5 mile route. Crossed the first style in first then a guy overtook ran in second for a fair while, legs were very tired and about 3 more guys got past I was thinking if I was fresh I'd be leading this. Loads of climb later there was about 3 guys about 100m in front and 2 of us together got to the turn off for the long route and they all turned off! The guy at the turning said I was leading which suprised me, I looked behind and there was no-one to be seen. Despite having tired legs I felt I climbed really strongly.

Kept running strong and despite loosing a minute or so in a field cos it was so poorly marked I won by a fair few mins. The big guns weren't there but was still happy to win. Got a nice hat and gloves for my troubles.

Cycle 1:00:00 [4] 15.0 mi (4:00 / mi)

Hope to Sheffield. I'm not going to lie this bloody hurt. Such a long hard climb out of Hathersage. Really really ruined after this.

Event: Maize Maze O

Orienteering (Maize Maze Q1) 21:56 [3] 0.93 km (23:35 / km)

This was quite fun, obv distance nowhere near what you actually run, made one big cock up but otherwise ok I found I just couldn't see the routes quick enough. Started raining half way round which turned it into an ice rink.

Done something pretty bad to my calf, don't tthink should really have been running.

Orienteering (Maize Maze Q2) 17:44 [3] 0.72 km (24:38 / km)

Did a bit better here, still had 1 cock up though.

Orienteering (A final (night)) 23:33 [3] 1.01 km (23:19 / km)

Erm I was a bit rubbish, but was lots of fun.

Football 55:00 [4]

I should stop playing football, I'm so ruined, right quad and hamstring hurt from shooting. Not sure how I'm going to cope with a weekend of racing! More ice bathing tonight.

Cycle 30:00 [3] 6.0 mi (5:00 / mi)

To and from work.

Run 54:27 [3] 7.5 mi (7:16 / mi)

Good run with some guys from work, leg muscles still very painful. Route included some good hills. Dropped 2 of them fairly early on leaving 2, I dropped the guy with me a couple of times but let him catch up as I didn't know the route. Can't believe it's so hot in October!

Cycle 30:00 [3] 6.0 mi (5:00 / mi)

Work and back.

Cycle 30:00 [3] 6.0 mi (5:00 / mi)

Note

My muscles could not have been tighter when I woke up this morning, unbelievable, just not used to playing football plus all the other stuff...so had a wonderfully painful sports massage by a very talented massage therapist ;-)

Everyone around me seems to have a cold at the moment which isn't good!
