10 AM

Running warm up/down 10:00 [2] 1.5 km (6:40 / km)
shoes: Inov8 Mudclaw-270

Chilly morning so was keen to warm up a bit before starting, brrr.
11 AM

Orienteering race (Portumna Forest Park) 1:34:04 [4] 12.36 km (7:37 / km) +59m 7:26 / km
shoes: Inov8 Mudclaw-270

Connacht Orienteering Champs - W21E - 3/6

Bit disappointed to still be having troubles with my right ankle. Started ok, but went over it again to #3 and then had to be careful for the rest of the course.
Otherwise enjoyable for mostpart, frustrating in others due to: confusing/unmarked paths, getting stuck in brambles, ending up knee-high in freezing cold water, slipping on a bridge and needing to walk the aches off for the next control.

Back to road running for me !

Strength (Pilates) 30:00 [2]

Eventually went along to the "much raved about" pilates class in the Sports Centre. It was good. Core feels grand now, but maybe it'll ache tomorrow...

Running long (Howth) 2:45:39 intensity: (10 @1) + (7 @2) + (7:58 @3) + (2:37:24 @4) 31.1 km (5:20 / km) +106m 5:14 / km
ahr:164 max:176 shoes: Asics Duomax Ladies

This had been planned for yest, but decided I would waste work time doing it instead :)
Legs were knackered shortly after halfway, and a headwind for the section along the coast on the way back made the going very tough.
