Redesdale Long Run with Cal Not been up here for about a year or so, absolutely lush weather for it and decent route in the main bar about 500m where the path did not exist and the entire slope was felled which led to some interesting route finding..
Think the distance was good for me as didn't go pop till I was driving home. Weird sensation for the body.

Berwickshire Coatal Path with JB Had my eye on this a while so seemed like a good opportunity to get it done. Earlyish start and lack of any sort of consistent training meant I was fairly apprehensive setting off, fully intending to bonk hard at somepoint. Reined John back a bit to begin with over the first 10km or so and stuck to a bit of a Karrimor Shuffle at times. Got to St Abbs at roughly halfway feeling ok but aware of how far was still to go and out of water. Thankfully Eyemouth, 5km further on, had a Coop on the beach front to restock and hydrate at. We both tired considerably in the second half, finding the route surprisingly hard I think the constant up and downs. The promise of a coffee at the end definitely pushed me on and the challenge of getting under 5hours for the route. At the border we were both shattered but I was in slightly better knock managing to jog solidly for about 2miles with John looking disgusted at me for making him move at a run at that point. Got down to the Tweed at the end of the planned route in about 4:55.
Great day out and nice to see a lot of new coast. Will have to head back to see Siccar Point and Fast Castle however.
