Note
(rest day)

Been feeling pretty shattered the last few days and took me an age to warm up yesterday then felt weird all evening. I'm not ill (yet) so going to take another day off and hope it passes.
Just 3weeks to go to the end of the season

Fell running race 2:24:10 [5] 20.0 km (7:13 / km) +1450m 5:17 / km
shoes: Innov8 212 2017 #3

Langdale Horseshoe 10th-12th
Went off with Cal Tinnion and the Borrowdale Beauty, hit the climb and pulled away from Cal whilst MMB cruised up towards Jack Wood and Carl Bell with Josh try to run away. Pete and Holmsey caught me up and made the tarn happily enough. On the second climb was solo as Holmsey and Pete ran away up to the group in front. Topped out and got a bit lost on the descent running parallel to the trod. Sam, Cal and two others caught me here as I was fannying about and just tucked in behind as Pete and Ian began to drop back towards us up to Esk Hause. Hit the Esk Pike traverse and ended up in 6th with just Sam in front but then fucked the line around Bowfell and the pack had appeared. John Helme swooped past on the descent which was super slippy and sketchy before we fucked the line around Crinkle Crags as well so watched Rhys, Ben and a somewhat resurgent Pete nip in ahead of us. Got back in font of quite a few people in our now swelling group at the Bad Step and on to Red Tarn. But then died a bit on the climb up Blisco....just couldn't get going a slowly slipped backwards allowing Ben to finally come through. Thought about trying to re-catch him but took a bad line at the top and the chance was gone, resigned myself to trundling down trying not to hurt myself before next week and keep ahead of Pete and Cal.

Long one pre-breakfast as no chance later tonight. Out along Aigburth then up past South Parkway over to Halewood and Gateacre. All the way back to Wavertree along Woolton Road, wiggled through the Mystery and on to Sefton Park. Legs started to feel a bit weird after 65mins.

Running 47:00 [3] 10.0 km (4:42 / km) +100m 4:29 / km

Out and about in Mossley Hill. Picked up a bag then on to the station.
6 PM

Running 27:00 [3] 6.35 km (4:15 / km) +30m 4:09 / km
shoes: Mizuno Sayonara 2

Out along Aigburth Road then back ont Prom. Explored my way in to what I can only assume was private land as it was all fenced off...

Felt tired all day so was tempted to sack off the second run but told myself it wouldn't be long if I ran faster. Felt good but the headwind along the prom wasn't pleasant.
