6 AM

Fell running 57:08 [3] 6.8 km (8:24 / km) +700m 5:33 / km
shoes: Inov-8 X-talons 212 2013

Up Blencathra to the top of Gatesgill behind the centre I'm staying at this week early doors. White out conditions with thick fog and snow on the ground, just steady on the way up then didn't over speed the way down. Loved it but struggling from a lack of sleep since.

Saturday Mar 16, 2013 #

Running warm up/down 20:00 [2] 3.0 km (6:40 / km) +10m 6:33 / km
shoes: Saucony Ride 5

Across the moor slowly and back after with my mum feeling naff

Running race 8:35 [5] 2.5 km (3:26 / km) +15m 3:20 / km
shoes: Saucony Ride 5

Newcastle Parkrun half of it but just felt like crap and felt crap the rest of the day. Probably a good job I dropped out, quite a few orienteers in the field. Tom Mckenzie, Gemma Bell (UVHS) and the Sprots!
Set off strongly, but ground to a halt.

Orienteering race 54:00 [4] 12.31 km (4:23 / km) +118m 4:11 / km
shoes: Saucony Ride 5

Tim Tett Special around Kelham Island
Ran the first bit quite hard and the last bit (chasing Oli who had overtaken me). the middle bit I got a bit disheartened and longed for bed, also got caught out by the wrpng description on 16 and consequently ended up on the wrong level. Also the headtorch I used wasn't great in the offroad sections which I hadn't expected.
But really fun and enjoyed my meal afterwards :D

Running 20:00 [3] 4.0 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: Saucony Ride 5

Jogging around few strides feeling crap
Two sets of warm down, my knee felt tight on the second?

Running race 9:44 [5] 3.0 km (3:15 / km)
shoes: Saucony Ride 5

Disappointing.....
Set off strongly with Jonny through the first km in 3:00 which I had aimed to do then my legs started to fall away from me between 1200-1400 and Jonny pulled away. Roden lapped me once and Jonny caught me on the line but lapped Ben. Didn't take splits but they will be terrible....Sunday was still in the legs

S and C (Flexibility) 30:30 [0]

Working it out

Note
(rest day)

Was going to go down to intervals today but my body decided not to let me. My legs felt progressively worse from Sunday as the day went on an nearly fell asleep at a friends so came back and NOTHING!

In other news I'm tempted to do some of the English Champs Fell races. Thinking Fairfield, Buckden and Wasdale to get a nice mix in if they fit. They should do though :D
