Running 12:50 [3] 2.1 km (6:07 / km) +75m 5:11 / km
shoes: Inov-8 X-talons 212

Easy pre-breakfast jog with Lewis around Elterwater to loosen up before the race

Fell running warm up/down 12:00 [3] 1.8 km (6:40 / km) +5m 6:35 / km
shoes: Inov-8 X-talons 212

Jog around the fields towards Stool End Farm before the race with Jack and Lewis. Was a bit chilly though soon warmed up.
Very slow hobble up and down the road with them afterwards, knees stiffened up and bruised

Fell running race 2:21:09 [5] 21.2 km (6:39 / km) +1450m 4:58 / km
shoes: Inov-8 X-talons 212

Langdale Lakeland Classic XD
Aim: To beat Helene Diamantides womens record of 2:23 and beat Lewis and Jack
Start to 1
Set off fairly steady and stuck in at the front behind Stevey B, Ben and Kim along the flat. Then at the turn went past Steve and jumped onto the back of Kim. Felt really good so went past him and found myself in the lead somehow. Then just made a comfortable pace up to Stickle Tarn in the mist where I found out there were only 4 of us in the lead pack. Got a bit confused by a path not on my map till Ben told me to keep going. Got to the first checkpoint in the lead.
1 to 2
Let Ben and the other guy slip in front and followed their lines up the Pavey Ark rake where we summited above the valley fog. But over to Thunacar Knott dropped back a bit though the slightly harder running.
2 to 3
Raced down the hill back to the group and went straight through them as they seemed to be fannying about. Found just about the right line though a bit too north off Martcrag moor. Again just made a pace up to Angle Tarn with Ben just behind and the other guy, dropping Kim a bit. Though on the long trek up to Esk Hause Ben ran off so slotted in to 3rd place on the heels.
3 to 4
Didn't know the line so let 2nd place take the lead ahead of me for the majority of the traverse nipping past him towards the end. He led again taking the racing line over towards Bowfell in the sleet though nipped past again to take the checkpoint in second.
4 to 5
I kept running whilst he stopped for a bit at the top and Ben had dissapeared so hit three tarns and was just asking which direction the racing line was to randomers. Got it slightly wrong dropping a bit too low allowing the group behind to gain a lot of time. Still in 2nd at the checkpoint.
5 to 6
Got stuck at the top of Bad Step as I'd never been down that way before. This allowed the group behind to catch up tried to race back on to second place. Completely stacked it down to Red Tarn totaling my reserve compass and bruising both knees. At Red Tarn I could hear "Go on Jonny" from Rhys, Tedwards and Lizzie. Got to the checkpoint/top in about 6th
6 to 7
Followed one of the older blokes down but just couldn't keep my footing at all spent the majority of the descent off Pike O'Blisco on my arse
7 to Finish
Tried to keep strong, one guy came flying past which I didn't have an answer to and hit the flat with barely any leg speed. Finished in 7th/8th not entirely sure but beat Jack and Lewis and got the womens record.

Really pleased with my run and the time bit dissapointed to get overtaken towards the end, probably need to recce the route a bit if I do it again which I really want to.

Steady with Crickmore, Owens, Treb and Willy
Out from Cuthroat Bridge up Bamford Edge down to Yorkshire Bridge via a spot of trespassing which we got told off for. Up Win Hill and along the ridge then down in to the forest and back to Yorkshire Bridge. Ladybower in then up to the Hurkling Stones and back. Felt good bar the flat middle section were they were pushing 5min/km so just dropped back an dtried to keep it easy
