Did a run which is similar to Kirstin's 30 signs as a concept. Ran out to the Lobley hill then down to the swimming baths. Then did hill reps up the four biggest roads I could find;
Dunston Bank (420m 56m climb (13%) 2:24mins
Duckpool Lane (380m 44m climb (12%) 2:20mins
Lambton Avenue (520m 64m climb (12%) 3:05mins
Whickham Bank (870m 112m " (13%) 4:52mins
Then did one final token hill effort up to my house:
Broom Lane (200m 12m climb (6%) 0:54mins
Whipped out my shorts for the first time this year and realised now that lycra rules :P Set off a little too fast as it was a bit cold but then remembered what was a head of me so slowed down. Didn't push the hills at full boar as I knew the last 'proper' hill was the worst, but upon reaching the top I didn't stop either glancing at my watch so I knew how long then jogged off back down the hill. Quite enjoyed it in a sadistic way and felt I was running quite well but not the brilliant feeling you have before your ill either so I'm hoping that short rest has killed it off :D
