Harvester "B" 5th leg Merthyr Common

Had a disaster in my opinion, but I suppose the results don't lie as Ebor won the junior class and "B" course by a good 10-15mins and about 2mins respectively.

I love Merthyr Common so much. Set off fast to try burn him off and it worked pulled out a good lead by spiking the first 4. Came out the wrong way but managed to correct myself so didn't lose to much time. 5-6 was absolutly dreadful, slowly veered off my bearing eneded up about 500m away from my control then OD got the lead. Got the next three fine and retook the lead, but got caught by TVOC. 9-10 was awful again, came out the wrong way 90 degrees wrong!!! then again managed to relocate but then stopped short and milled around letting the TVOC guy get infront. Caught him up and overtook him just before the spectator loop then managed to burn him off.

Probably did bad a it was 5:30 in the morning I suppose

Around the field before my team mate came though spectator then up and down the waiting pen for a bit. Absolutly dead after so just went to curl up in bed for a bit.



Then the long journey home which was made longer by me missing my stop on the train sleeping and ending up in Alnwick a 30mins return journey :(

Slow jog with my mum, could still feel tuesday in my quads. Went down and round the lake then back.

Jog down to Rowlandsgill and back from my Grandparents along the Derwent Walk. Managed to avoid going out in a downpour :D

Down to the Harriers base
Back to the Harriers base from the end of the session

Didn't feel as fast as it actually was

Running (Harriers) 26:30 [4] 4.89 km (5:25 / km)
shoes: Asic GT-2130

Back down to Swallwell then up the Derwent walk to the end of the 7 arches viaduct. The pace felt pretty fast here, may have been the heat.

Running intervals (Harriers) 26:00 [5] 5.4 km (4:49 / km)
shoes: Asic GT-2130

Pyramid intervals along the Derwent walk from Seven Arches up to Rowlandsgill round the loop and back. Was really good felt so strong on the shorter one 1min, 2min, 3min but the older guys had the strength other me in the four minute one. Feeling good.


Ahhhh hate that my warm-up/down is faster than the session :(
