Orienteering race (British Relay's) 39:41 [5] **** 6.6 km (6:01 / km) +158m 5:22 / km
spiked:14/15c shoes: Walshes 2

Mens Premier.

Set off just after Malliday so ran to try keep up with him for as long as possible. Beat him to number 1 :D, then managed to hang on to him loosely till 7 then could see him going out of 8. After that was trying to keep ahead of Richard Gillaume I managed over terrain but he kept getting ahead on the paths, had a really good run again except one control, no.14, ran into the circle and ran straight past it.

But really quite pleased as I was running strongly and navigating well.

Running warm up/down 30:00 [2] 3.0 km (10:00 / km)
shoes: Walshes 2

A jog with Alex to warm-up then general loosening off in the box waiting for Lizzy to come in
then after a jog round the field with Malliday

Orienteering race 1:16:21 [5] **** 11.3 km (6:45 / km) +250m 6:05 / km
spiked:17/20c shoes: Walshes 2

Ok, it started appaulingly! It took me 11:30mins to get to no.1 which meant I was last by over 5mins on 2nd last place. But then had a really good run. Peter got 1 whilst I was fucking about somewhere. then GG caught 9mins up on me by halfway from 3-4 even though he lost time on 1 too. Attempted to keep up with him, got to 6 like that. Then just managed to get everything else after that right apart from slight wobbles in the circle on 16 and 19. Was gunning it from 16 to make sure I beat Robin, 8seconds :D

Running warm up/down 30:00 [2] 3.0 km (10:00 / km) +50m 9:14 / km
shoes: Walshes 2

Jog to the start, drills and general loosening off
Forgot to Wam-down but felt too tired afterwards anyway

Run home from school, got my mum to pick my bags up then ran home via Scotswood Bridge, the Keelmans Way and Whickham Bank.
It didn't feel to hard more relaxed than anything else, however coming up Whickham Bank I started to feel the burn.

Did 90/30s on the town moor, same as last week on strensall but less marshy/tussocky and more muddy/hills was good though tried to keep the same pace all the way round and managed apart from the last few up a small hill and into a headwind
