Running 32:22 [3] 6.3 km (5:08 / km) +11m 5:06 / km
shoes: Asics GT-2170

Morning run in the drizzle quite nice but still pretty humid. Crosspool. Ranmoor. Endcliffe. Union. Dram Shop. Home.

Trying out my new shoes foot felt pretty decent. Still a bit sore at times, though it usually is on the roads. Not as bad as normal howver. Still not feeling 100% however, head a bit off (still got a chesty cough) and quads still pretty sore especially downhill

http://connect.garmin.com/activity/183178317
Then down foxes tarn where Ibumped into my mum. Was alright for the first 90mins but then really really struggled up Scafell. The second 900m climb of the day really took it out of me in the sun.

Also got told off by a helicopter rescue crew for running too close to the helicopter as it was trying to land to rescue someone who appeared to have collapsed in the heat

Other (Hiking) 3:15:00 [1] 7.0 km (27:51 / km) +200m 24:23 / km
shoes: X-talons 2

Walk back to Seathwaite via Mickledoor, Scafell Pike and Esk Hause with my mum. Pretty much dead on my feet to be honest at any incline :/

Sunday May 27, 2012 #

shoes: Asics GT-2160

Run out up the old loop. Ravensworth, Kibblesworth track and down the railway track. Felt good for the first half then tired a bit but felt ok on the downhill. Foot felt a bit better than it has for a while but doesn't like the road running at all

Friday May 25, 2012 #

Orienteering warm up/down 11:02 [3] 1.3 km (8:29 / km) +160m 5:15 / km
shoes: X-talons 2

Running up to the start with Josh, felt fairly good
Nothing aferwards as I had sore feet

Orienteering race 1:16:37 [4] 11.7 km (6:33 / km) +330m 5:44 / km
shoes: X-talons 2

AIRE Kilnsey North Event Black 12.94km (5:55mins/km)
Won XD but more importantly beat Josh. Fairly similar length/climb to last weekend, though not as technical so was a lot cleaner. Didn't feel as good as last week either, never felt as if I was gunning it whilst last week it felt like I was running hard most of the way. Even so was still tired towards the end.

Saturday May 12, 2012 #

Orienteering race 54:58 [3] 7.7 km (7:08 / km) +125m 6:36 / km
shoes: Asics GT-2160

Aire Town event Settle and Giggleswick A Men's Open 11.26km (4.53mins/km)
Foot hasn't been great recently running on hard surfaces so decided to just take it easyish and focus on making sure I took good lines. Really nice area two interesting sections separated by a bit of a slog through the centre. Think my routes were generally good, Carl beat me by about 4mins which is a little dissapointing though not unexpected after Tuesdays dissapointing session.

Orienteering warm up/down 10:00 [3] 1.5 km (6:40 / km)
shoes: Asics GT-2160

Around the running track before with Emily and Weener.
Very little jogging after couldn't really be bothered

Thursday May 10, 2012 #

Running 14:20 [3] 2.7 km (5:19 / km) +40m 4:57 / km
shoes: Asics GT-2160

To Ranmoor and back briefly, foot nt feeling great but it doesn't feel like its injured like it was. It hurts under compression again though so its uncomfortable running on hard surfaces.

Tuesday May 8, 2012 #

shoes: X-talons 2

British Relays 7.11km (4.54mins/km)
Had a pretty good race died a bit at the start but managed to get it together a bit and had a good second half. Lost about 30s on 10, was about 3mins down on John and Ralph on the same course which I'm pretty pleased at and would've beaten Duncan again if he hadn't tried to cheat. Lewis beat me again by about 20s.

12.59 (6:21mins/km)
Had a pretty good run overall, caught up my 3min man at 14. But dropped about 90secs on the two controls afterwards. Caught him again at 19, and was going well would have probably been up with Pete Bray's time but binned about 3mins on the last two controls in the woods. Pretty pleased all the same, 30s down on Lewis. A long way behind Crickmore
