Easy headtorcher with Scott around Chopwell and Spen Bank before a trot back up the Railway track. Feeling alright and quite springy despite calf tightness

Harriers, last for a while probably so nice to say my goodbyes. Another steady run, think I'm starting to feel a bit better in the legs. No doubt I'll be as stiff as a board tomorrow but it went quite well tonight even up to the Great North Road. Over to Team Valley and back up Chowdene way then a loop along Sunderland Road to Felling and back

Had a thoroughly shit fortnight trying to get myself sorted for the move. Far too much stress at times to run, leaving me mentally drained. Even though running would probably have made me feel better.
Sorted out something for next week now so feeling a bit better about it all

Back at the harriers again
Glute/peroneal had been feeling a bit shitty all day but went along as I needed to get out the house. Got about 45mins in before it started pinching so had to slow down and keep stretching it out to make my way back. Bit annoying, also feel incredibly unfit in comparison to these road runners!

From the garage in the morning....Felt ok then very bad. But decent up Whickham bank although turned out to be quite slow.

Stiffened up during the day, Glute needs some work again as it doesn't seem to like road running.

Back to the garage in the afternoon. Peroneal felt tight again. Went down a different way to mix it up which was alright. Again felt ok but quite ploddy.

Moved back home briefly today so decided to get my lazy ass along to the harriers for a change. A as anticipating some death intervals but luckily it was a 'steady' run. Felt alright with it in the main bar the drag up Leam Lane where I had to push a bit to keep hanging on. On the descent my stomach decided to fuck up for the first time in ages....It must be pavement pounding. So stepped off the group, took a wrong turn maybe two but found my way back alright. Was a pleasant change going to have to try get myself along to Liverpool Harriers at some point so I know where to go and stuff. Legs don't feel to bad afterwards, calf has been a bit tight all day but no issues tonight I imagine I'll be a bit sore tomorrow but nothing too residual from my plod on saturday. Must be on the up!

Entered on a whim late on and didn't really know how my body would cope given the struggles in heat on Tuesday.
Set off and was able to tap out a comfortably hard pace for a fair while which was pleasing, then followed Jack on his line and cut across to a nicelooking grassy rake up to Wetherlam. Popped out on the top with baba, Vic, Josh and a couple of others. Worked on the way to Swirl How and dropped Vic a bit with Josh but baba pulled away slightly. Didn't get the line right to 3shires so Vic pulled away a bit here and caught baba. Also managed to face plant in the marsh at the top but luckily Owens and Katie were just around the corner and didn't see it. Had my bad patch going up Blisco again and Corny caught me up on the descent which was pleasing as again I had no idea where to go (hope he gets better soon!). Cat was also lurking here and I expected her and Boothman to come past on the next climb. Got to the top of Lingmoor still clear of Cat and Will and chased on to Corny's tail then took a horrendous line and got very lost on the descent. Oops! Lost about 4/5mins and Cat finished ahead me as a result :/

Pleasing with how I got on, need to get some speed back though before Langdale but I feel goodish. Reckon the lack of training in the build up has served my recovery well as there was only one big hit of miles to recover from.

Decided to go and tick off a few Wainwrights I hadn't done as the weather was meant to be nice and I finished my work in Penrith yesterday. When I left the house the Northern fells looked it minging and by the time I was driving down Ullswater nothing had really improved. Drove over Kirkstone and set off and within 10min I was melting! The short sleeve thermal and long shorts were far far too much.

Ticked off Troutbeck Tongue from Kirkstone pass then dropped down to Troutbeck and up to Garburn Pass after avoiding the worst of the bracken. Nipped up Sallows and Sour Howes. My run had become more of a plod at this point. Dropped down to Limefitt Park and then made my way up Nanny Lane before turning off to Baystones and back to the car.

Made it to Kirkstone Inn where I needed two pints of coke urgently.

Recceing legs 3 and 4 of the Hodgsons with Chris. Scouting a few out there lines some of which worked and some of which didn't. Took a detour to check out Priests Hole....will have to go back at some point and bivvy

Went for a test plod as I've been raring to get back going again. Felt ok but hard work for the pace I was moving so think it will ultimately be another few weeks before I'm back to normal
