To Chain of Rocks -- up MO side, back via IL & McKinley Bridge. Stiff north wind increased the effort.
MO - trail still blocked by flood gate at N end of Arch and at power plant TH -- a pain to find ride-around.
IL - rebuild of Merchants Bridge is using trail to access worksite -- more gravel. Trail officially closed at McKinley Bridge. Replacing steel power towers?
I thought that Merchants Bridge was being moved. No - rebuilt arch by arch. I'd love to see how each massive arch is raised onto rebuilt pillars.

Big Sugar Creek and North loop of CR trails at CRSP. A beautiful day to hike though trails need some maintenance. Appears that CRSP got hit with a stronger recent windstorm than Hawn.

Another reconnaissance hike at Hawn. West side of North Loop, connectors 2 & 3, and White Oak. Trails and campsites in very good shape -- little maintenance needed.
