Swimming 35:00 [2]

Last swim in Maine - great fresh water lake.

Walking 3:00:00 [3]

Long drive to Acadia NP was worth it. Climbed front face of Bee Hive - physical and scary. Even with iron rungs and railings, some steps were tough and often on edge of cliff. Amazing that many families take young kids up by that route. Then long, gentler, trek up Champlain peak and down steep Orange and Black trail. Lots of fog rolled back in - few good views. LOTS of blueberries!

Walking 1:00:00 [2]

I'd planned to rest, eat lunch, and climb another peak but legs & knees said, "No Thanks". Ocean View trail was much more appealling - great views of waves breaking on huge-rock shore. Knees are achy but not acute and not swollen.

The Loop Bus was sure a convenient way to get around. I was surprised by number of Quebecois tourists.

Cycling 4:30:00 [3]

Rented bike and did loops of Barters' island and Ocean Point - more short up and down hills than expected. Enjoyable, physical ride.

Canoeing 4:30:00 [3]

Kayaked with Bo on Back River from Sawyer Island bridge north to Oven's Mitt hiking area and back. Great paddle but longer than expected. With a light current both ways but against a headwind both ways - not fair!

Swimming 30:00 [2]

AM swim in Lake Knickerbocker

Swimming 25:00 [2]

AM swim on Knickerbocker Lake - canoeists seemed surprised.

Walking 3:00:00 [2]

Trails on Monhegan Island - pretty rugged - great views of Atlantic from various heads. Many mini-stops for berries and photos - end of raspberry season, beginning of blueberries - black berries 1+ weeks away.
