Walking 1:00:00 [1]

Hiked two short trails with Fran at LA State Arboretum. Spotted 2-3 wild pigs twice - trail was heavily roughed up by them.

Walking 1:00:00 [1]

Wandering around Vicksburg Battlefield in breaks on 16-mile driving tour. After 2 attacks (huge losses by the blue), grant set in for successful 47 day siege of Vicksburg. Interesting to see memorials for MO US and MO CSA fighting groups. Also say US Cairo - first iron-clad to be sunk by 'torpedo' by CSA.

Swimming 25:00 [3]

Only 6*6 sets since I planned to do more aerobic later. However, I pushed hard for 18 lengths and averaged 37.5s/length, well below target of 40. Sure nice assuming there wasn't a measurement error! (5/6 crawl; 1/6 breast; touch turns).

Machines 36:00 [3]

12 double sets at Y.

Stair step 20:00 [3]

Intervals at 110/80 spm.

Right knee is back to 95%. A bit achy during some machines and stair step but no intense pain and no weakness. Feels great 4 hours later.

Lots of walking next week or so - I'll resist running for a while.

Swimming 34:00 [2]

8x6 - felt good and it is safe! Pushing off with right leg bothered it a bit.

Machines 30:00 [3]

10 double sets. Skipped right leg glute since it required me to bend knee too far. Rest were fine, including leg curls.

Treadmill 16:00 [2]

Walked at 4.2 average, 8% climb.

My best guess on right knee is cartilage. Hmm, maybe my 25-year warranty on arthroscopic surgery to trim cartilage just ran out. :)

There was never any twisting to suggest ligament or tendon damage - also no related soreness. Doesn't seem that stress fracture would 'recover' so quickly each time I irritated it. Also, I might be feeling a bit of looseness in knee. Well, no running for a while. Lots of walking in Louisiana soon - see how knee recovers.
