Easy ride to and from Soulard Farmer's Market - great & local (Bootheel?) apples, peaches, & cantaloupe. Hot and strong southern wind - ugly day for riding. Cooler next week???????????????

To Edwardsville and home via McKinley Bridge, Wilson Park, Nickel Plate, and Schoolhouse. Pushed hard for 45 miles to Horseshoe Lake SP; long break and easy ride in. Light SE then NE wind helped a bit. Very hot - hard to stay hydrated. Okay lunch at Mexican rest. in Edwardsville.

Pleasant group hike at Castlewood's GP trail with Sierra Club. '2' due to heat and hills. Crossed paths with a few trail runners and MTB's.

Leisurely MCT ride (Nature then Nickle Plate) from Wilson Park with Fran and Anne Marie. Very hot - almost 100.

First ride with St. Louis Recreational Cyclists group (formerly Turtles and Turbos and AYH). Parked at Creve Couer and did New Town ride in St. Charles County. About 12 people. Rode with Jim Jeske and two others. Very comfortable pace. This group strongly preferred roads, including 94, to Katy Trail.

Included 50; 100; 150; 200; 150; 100; 50 pyramid at faster pace - felt good!
