Stair step 26:00 [3]

Intervals at 65/110 spm. tough workout - felt good. Top HR of 132.

Machines 24:00 [3]

8 machines. It's interesting that 'seated leg curl' affects left hamstring less than 'prone leg curl'. (I do one or other each time.)

Machines 5:00 [2]

A few laps of Y track to test leg. Felt better, but did tweek the injury just a bit - stopped that.

Machines 25:00 [3]

Back to the Y machines. No acute pain from either left hamstring injury. On prone leg curl: did 12 reps with 45 lb on right leg; 15 lb on left. Lots of gentle work to do!

Stair step 20:00 [3]

Back to 75/100 spm intervals. Felt good. Probably get back up to 24 minutes now. Max heart rate: 130.

Swimming 36:00 [3]

8 sets of 6. Since muscles still a bit sore from Sunday, chose to do swim only - longest in a long time. Sure is easy on the body! :) Both hamstring injuries feeling much better.

Went to see Ed Asner do FDR in one-man show. Great to see Asner, but not impressed by the script. I don't know history that well - so didn't feel that I learned a lot about era or about FDR.

Stair step 20:00 [2]

Eased up to test left leg. Intervals: 60; 90 spm. Felt good.

Machines 25:00 [3]

9 days ago - slipped on ice next to car. Did not fall, but pulled left hamstring. Not a re-injury. Previous was high on hamstring; this is center - more like a charlie horse.

8 machines - with leg curls: no acute pain; very weak. Time to start again.

Cycling 30:00 [2]

To and from Y - first time out in '11. What a beautiful day.

Cycling 1:40:00 [2]

Cycle to FP with Fran. Great day, strong south wind. Too many walkers/runners on bike path (5 feet from running path) for biking to be pleasant. Switched to roads.

Cycling did not strain hamstring.
