Machines 24:00 [3]

9 machines at Y

Stair step 24:00 [3]

Level 9 FB - hard beat of spinning class next to me seemed to help!

Treadmill 24:00 [3]

3 sets at 2% of 2 mkinutes each: 5.7;6.7;7.7 .
Plus some warm-up/cool-down. Felt good.

Lawn+ 2:00:00 [2]

Digging out tough 'nut grass' (?) from garden and general yard work. First spring cut of new fescue (sodded last fall) - looks great!

Running 46:35 [2]

Forest Park. FP is persistent about clearing the honey-suckle - looks much better. Beautiful day to run. Longer run than usual. Felt slow: bit dehydrated; bit warm.

Orienteering 12:18 [4]

Reran FP Green Sprint. Last time I took same routes, wondering impact of sore lower back. Dropped from about 14:05 to about 13:10 - but most of gain was at 6 (fixed hesitaiton) and in second half of course.

This time, chose 'optimal routes' and ran 12:18. New routes at 2 (ran paved and shortcuts - not woods); 7 (finally found trail just to right; also left 7 perp to trail); and 10 (took road to 2nd trail). Also ran 4 & 6 more aggressively. All choices improved time, except 10 - original trail run and through woods is faster due to lack of stair climb off of road.

Running 23:00 [2]

To and from Sprint venue (HQ at Visitor Center).

Running 7:54 [3]

At indoor 19-lap mile Y track, kept 24.7 second pace for 19 laps. First time I've tried to maintain a 'short lap' pace that long. Still had legs for a few more laps - next time.

Running warm up/down 7:00 [2]

Stat. Bike 16:00 [2]

After 2 days at Beaumont, wanted lighter day today. But 3 days in a row felt goo.

Machines 20:00 [3]

8 machines at Y
