Drove up to US National Forest Valley Spur CC ski area near Munising with Fran and Zan. Great day, newly groomed trails, very few people. Near 30 degrees, no wind, and sun almost came out. (I stopped here for a trail run last summer.)

2 hour hike with Zan along Haymeadow Creek north of Rapid River. 1/3 on trail; 2/3 off trail - about 1 foot of powdery snow.
