Vetted controls at Rockwoods. 65+ degrees! Ground was drier than expected, but contouring on certain slopes still tough - mud under oak leaves - no spikes.

Stayed in good map contact. Traversed flat terrain well. Coming down steep from top of hill - sure hard to pick up 'right' or recognizable reentrant on the way down. Found an unmapped pit.

21 minutes at 8:34 pace, 2% climb - good push, felt good.

Rest was warm-up & cool-down.

I'm aiming for 2-3 morning work-outs during week - first so far this week.

Great day to run in Forest Park. Sunny, 45, mostly dry pavement.

8 minute warm-up felt miserable. Then rest of run felt good including climbs of 3 hills.
