Orienteering race 1:07:00 [3]

Christmas score O at Greensfelder. A 'learning' experience. I decided to be a bit bolder - go for a couple high pointers. BUT:

I'm weak on orienteering off roads/trails (made large mistake at 18; huge mistake at 17, coming off trails; I didn't handle the mass start very well (followed, then lost focus and map contact); not very used to 1:15000 maps any more. So, lost lots of time, got fewer controls, overtime - UGH.

But nice day to be in the woods and nice spread.

Drove, then picked up 5 distant controls. Mostly walk; some jog.

Easy controls, but did read trails well. :)
