Running 41:00 [3]

Got moving late on very pleasant morning in STL. 41 minute run in Forest Park (& shower) before going to college to catch up on some work. Studying the CAOC Country Lane 1996 Red course sure made the 41 minutes go by faster. I barely finished one course. Two 7-minute errors early, one really ugly. 2nd half very solid. Sure hope I'm better than that now :).

Pretty flat between medium-sized re-entrants. Often looking for subtle features in the flats: root stocks, one-line spurs or reentrants, small 'marsh',... (Self: "focus on attack points")

Running 32:00 [3]

Actually got up and ran early - still pleasant 'find the shade' run in Tower Grove. After pleasant July, August has been 7F above normal. Only 3-4 days' highs have been below the normal high with 2 more days of heat to come.

Got to Festival of Nations for lovely dinner last night. Nice normal chat with Tom Metzhintin - 'they' are rehabbing or restoring a 200+ year old log house on Riverview north of I-270. He looked and sounded good.
