Running race 32:14 [4]

4-mile Frostbite race.
Having let IT band totally heal and start of semester has meant no running in 2+ weeks - it showed (plus carrying a couple extra pounds?).

First 2 miles hilly, wind and 35 degrees made this the toughest of the series.

30:00 was slight possibility; I thought that 31:00 was realistic - bit diappointed by not breaking 32:00. But 4 miles is twice the length of those first two races:)

7:35 - met target; but was too fast for this race.
8:23 - hilly and tired. walked 10 seconds on final hill
7:59 - down a hill then flat
I need 8:03 to hit 32:00, but 8:17. Flat but really tired and into west wind.
Good news - left thigh fine :) :)

Orienteering 2:20:00 [1] ***

Explored Frechmen Bluff area of Cuivre River to see suitablity for local meet (parking etc). Walked and jogged trails to see which are usable for Yellow and Orange courses. Beautiful vistas in part of park we've rarely used. Found grave plot site and several old cisterns.

Used preset program - climb and medium pace. 340 C
