Orienteering 1:57:00 [3]
Ran three short courses at Cuivre River. 35, 36, and 41 minutes. First run: mixed long and short legs. Second: Mostly short legs. Third: 4 long legs. Rain moved away to sunny and 70 - nice! But in hard rain in ST. Louis, it was hard to get moving.
West of main road is very runnable. White, except for lots of knee-high light brush.
Wow!, I'm really rusty! Execution often sloppy: did not hold bearings well; on 1:15000, misread vertical - ie underestimated depth of small/medium reentrants. Endurance was better than expected - maintained pace and focus on 3rd run. Very inconsistent, but had some good legs mixed in.
Lesson: practice; regain balance among bearing, features, and will need pace count in NAOC.
