First time on riverfront trail this spring. To Chain of Rocks on MO side, return via IL. Trail in good shape. Short detour below Luminair Casino. Passable on both ends of Merchant's Bridge bit rough gravel on IL side. 2 spans up; 3rd nearing completion on MO riverbank.
Got hot. Changed tube. Tough 2nd day ride.
Turkey, rabbit, musk rat (?), 2 red-winged blackbirds harassing a red-tail hawk..
