Note

Check, double check, triple check...

Yes, I did read the email correctly - I GOT THE JOB! :D

Found out this morning and it still hasn't sunk in yet.

Running warm up/down 4:00 [2]

Running 56:44 [3] 10.5 km (5:24 / km)

HRR again - aiming for a level 3 run but absolutely no quicker (SHIs at the weekend), so chose the 8:30 group. Started very easy but sped up after about 20 minutes and the rest was about level 3.

Marston Ferry, past school, into town, Queen's Lane, up Headington Hill and back.

Note

I should probably note that for the last week or two I've been waking up feeling as if I have a slight cold and sore throat, for no apparent reason. It gets better during the day, but it's a bit annoying not knowing whether it's real or a false alarm. Maybe it's a winter thing?

Cycling long 1:18:03 [2] 26.13 km (2:59 / km)

Stayed mostly west of the main road instead of east like usual. Up to Steeple Barton the scenic way, which involved a track that was rockier and altogether more treacherous than it appeared on the map. I have no idea how people do mountain biking - I could barely stay on the bike!

Then left at Steeple Barton and down to Wootton, and back up to the north end of Dornford Lane, across Rousham Gap, and down to Rousham and back along Rousham Road. Pretty windy, and cold to start off with. Also a fair amount of steep hills on this route!
