Training Log Archive: JoS

Room on the Broom string course. Think this counts as training since I carried Scott their on my back then ran round with Selma. Selma had put on her knee high pink orienteering socks especially and went off at a lightning speed from the start. Fortunately she stopped to admire the flowers they'd put in the trees and she also did a double punch at each control (SI and clip) so I managed to keep up with her.

Scottish 6 Days - day 6. Borrowed dad's garmin to record what I knew was going to be a 2hr epic! My gps watch got solen along with all my orienteering stuff and other valuables from our holiday house in the middle of no where on the rest day, so if any ones hears of someone selling compasses, EMIT and an SI on the orienteering black market they are mine!
Have to say I actually enjoyed it since I had already decided it was going to take me 2hr and I would be 40min down on the winner. Made a big mistake at number 1 after racing out of the start and got caught by Jet 4 min. Probably just as well since she had to rescue me from a uncrossable marsh I'd accidently tried to cross. Didn't like the open bit much since it was too rough for me too run. The were a few bit which seemed a bit stange on the map but that might have just been me getting tired. Didn't like the long leg on the spectator loop at the end which was a killer last loop.
The result wasn't anything to be proud of but I was pleased that I had run Elite and made it round all the days.
