Running with Sam and Presto on the Van Lone Loop! We spent another day doing house things, and then headed out for a run in the evening. It was super, super good to get out into the woods and splash around in the mud for a while. I was dying a bit on the last couple, but otherwise, this felt surprisingly good!

Normal stretching. My ankle feels slightly funny tonight, and my calf is super tight. I'll need to keep an eye on that.

Running with Presto! I spent most of the day working on the bedroom walls with a brief break for an outdoor ice cream party for new faculty. I got an email saying that the power was out for the hallway right next to mine, but had come back on again, but I was worried about my equipment, so I ran to lab to check it out. Everything looked good (phew!), so I continued on. I was pretty wiped for this after a super, super late night at work yesterday (11pm...), but it was good to get out!

Normal stretching. I fell asleep while stretching. My goals for next week are to get out of work earlier and go to sleep earlier.

Running with Sam and Presto after lab! I've been working way too late almost every evening these past 2 weeks, and tonight was no exception. I'm going to have to get better at either getting more done during the day or just deciding that whatever's left on my list of tasks will just have to stay unfinished for the evening or both. It was amazingly humid tonight, and Presto was more excited about dinner than running, but once he was out, he seemed happier. As I run around dripping with sweat in shorts and a sports bra, I just keep reminding myself to enjoy it while it lasts. It won't be too long before I'm too cold again! I'm still readjusting to the whole "seasons" thing.

Running with Sam and Presto after lab! It was still pretty warm even at 8pm, but it was good to get out anyway, and Presto was actually not too slow tonight. He seemed pretty excited to be running in a pack. We chose a route that we hoped would minimize interactions with the hordes of undergrads and were pretty successful. Cornell is busy when all the undergrads are around!
