Orienteering race 26:03 [5] 4.8 km (5:26 / km)
shoes: Asics ds skyspeed 2

Balls out tonight but my body and mind let me down a bit. Thoroughly enjoyable race.
A few heitations early then mistaking the control description to #9 set me back a little. I wasn't planning ahead enough and got caught out at #11. Hesitated for too long and didn't see the southern route.
The nav got easier here but then the body let me down along with the lack of sleep. Tom and Michael were my runners to follow for a while before I decided to go N to 23 just to do something different to Tom. It didn't work too well but I don't think I dropped much time either.
Buggered at the end....

Note
(rest day)

No time to train as I'm at the Olly practice opening ceremony.
Plus points are no queueing to get in and thankfully the military are in charge of the xray machines so feeling safe.
Minus points are that I feel very sorry for them to have to stand in last minute when they have their own holiday plans and that the biggest queues are for the water taps!!!!!

Orienteering race 24:39 [3] 3.9 km (6:19 / km) +10m 6:14 / km
shoes: Salomon speed cross 3

They made the best of a small wooded area but was pretty much an Orange course. Stuck mostly to the tracks and made mistakes when I tried to go straight. Lost time at
1. Took an S bend route should have cut in earlier.
3. Too far E and didn't find much rough open, found the trees first.
4. Decided to leave #3 to the SW which dropped time.
10. Went S from #9 instead of N.
18. I went took straight and got caught in the green.
19. Should have learnt my lesson by now and come in from the N.
Took today as a steady run to try and drop the coughing and cold. Doesn't seemed to have worked yet.
