Crit City Race (B).
I was going to go for an easy ride and then it started to rain. I was not busy so had a look at the companion app to see if there was a group ride I could join but got drawn into doing a race, my first one.
I think I picked the right Cat and was ready to go hard off the line as I have heard it is always manic at the start. After a minute it calmed down but not by much, I managed to get to halfway before a split formed and I ended up in the 2nd group. It got a bit easier in the 2nd half but I went a little too early for the sprint and lost a few places.
Absolutely loved it so I won't be bothering with the team TT this winter as I know this will give me a much better session.

I went off easy as I didn't know how long the calf would last. Scrappy in the circle at 4 and 8 but got into it after that.
Calf went on the way to #16 so eased off to see how long it might last and generally limped round the rest of the way. Will H came past on the way to #19 and I was able to use him for the nav for most of the rest of the course but it was a struggle to protect the calf and run.
Happy to finish to be honest and a decent result in the end.
