21km/1800m.
Much better today, felt much more on it and like I was moving with purpose and sort of racing. Less shithousery today (though still started over Glaracuntingmara) and good fun linking together nicer bits of the lakes. Bit of an error coming out of 2 getting stuck in crags bellow the Borrowdale line, then managed to get cragfast on Fleetwith pike near the end when my latent orienteer picked a sneaky route my active fellrunner couldn't execute.
9 mins down on Phil today which is good considering a more runnable route, he was top 10 at Ennerdale. Feeling much better. Ready for a week yomping about Wales

Saunders day 1.
33km/2600m. Much of which included some of the most shithouse climbs and descents around the Borrowdale locale.
I felt really passive today, moving ok for most but never really on it line-wise and times where I definitely felt like I was just mooching about, especially on Glarafuckingmara at the end. Quite surprised to only be 1min down. Maybe lost 5min on nav and 5 faffing with kit/Shoes. ~5.30 was doable for my OMM best but good day out, finished feeling ok and resolved to pull my finger out a bit more on day 2

Again felt pretty naff all day, smashed an entire large banana maltloaf, hula hoops and bombay mix in traffic on the way over and started perking up. How I can be underfuelling, the amount I eat normally, and generally pretty healthy amd varied. Did run out of Ferroglobin tabs last week and wondering if they have been keeping me on an even keel since I heavily reduced my (not every excessive) meat intake.
