Sliding around gizzy woods. 50mins harder early on and trying to keep the downhills honest to get the nuromuscular adaptation, though this was tricky given how sloppy it was. Worst I've felt on a run for a while but still moving ok and hours and climb in the bank. Tbf TdeH cancellation meant I lost a bit of motivation. Hoping we can Trigger in February.

Morning recovery. New shoes (or daps if you're a middle aged man who is sponsored by Inov8). The old ones still have some life in them at 1200+ km as I'm keen to reduce shoe usage due to the environment/going full yorkshireman. The 'replace every 4-500 miles' trope is marletting BS, especially when using good quality shoes. I feel as I'm usually wearing ~4 pairs across a week, even if they are all fairly old, it spreads the risk of injury due to shoes.

5x3 mins, 3x 1mins hills. jog down recovery, from Gribdale.
Harder work than last week but never quite had to grind. Good.
