Training on SPOOK weekend is worth double OR is worth negative when it fucks you over.
I think I drunkenly committed to winning the 2021 Dragon's Back. Bollox.

3x (1200 @5km, 800@3km) 400 jog between everything.
Set 4.06 and 2.39. Did 4.02/3 and 2.36/7. Alright considering the wind - thankfully the rain stopped after the first rep. Gave it some at the start of the last 2 but maybe overcooked it a bit as times were the same.

Still working my way in. Hoping no-one brings something nasty and viral this weekend. Hoping to build mileage gradually then aim for consistency
Over winter plan to get 2 sessions and 2 longer runs a week. I will see if a 3rd session can be added in later on. I'll do a bit of local scene races which can double to some extent as my tempo/threshold work. This would normally be on a Monday and I want to increase the distance and keep it over undulating terrain. Longer easy run Tuesday, track on a Thursday, long run Sunday (sat if racing.) I'm not fussed about hitting certain times in reps now that I would have in the group in Sheffield, just want to get the work done and ensure I can recover well amd maintain consistency and the times will drop over time.
