And back again. Thought about camping in the garden or sleeping in the bath underneath a dripping shower for the full effect, but opted for memory foam and as much food as possible (parents are away but the left me the makings of a 2 person stir fry which did for starters).
Up moorfield lane I felt rubbish, but perked up a bit once over Famine and South head and onto brown knoll. Decided to go along the S edge of kinder for rougher paths, bumped into Josh W above jagger's clough for a chat. Then on to win hill, ladybower, up to bamford edge and stanage before coming in via the headstone, Rivelin dams, fox hagg and top path.

Felt all right for most but more stop-start today, had some moments where I felt really good though.
Yesterday was 5 years since Daz H died.

Running - Trail 4:47:00 [2] 46.44 km (6:11 / km) +1368m 5:23 / km
slept:7.5 shoes: Roclite 280 #1 Blue

Long run home across the peak.
Rich G's dog ran headlong into my leg as I went up Porter. From there I went via Redmires, High Neb, Cuthroat Bridge. Ladybower, Crook Hill, above Hagg Farm, upper Ashop farm before climbing on to the N edge of Kinder. The weather deteriorated from here on which I was expecting, but good to know my jacket and pack are working alright.
N edge took a long time, dropped down Kinder steps to Mill Hill. Plan here was to find the trod to Chad's Cabin before going direct up LP, but I just went hot and heavy into the moor sans map/compass, thought I was too left, actually way too right, after some terrain time eventually relocated on the Chunal path so took the easy route round to Lantern Pike before dropping home.
2 clothing and 1 food stops totaling about 15mins. Headwind pretty much constantly from Burbage Mines to LP, thought N edge would be more sheltered from the forecast SW wind, but evidently it shifted due W, or just came over the hill. Last couple of hours like being in a washing machine.
Moving OK but legs a little heavy.

AP and Strava climbs only vary by 3m, which is a novelty, especially over such a distance.
Hope I'm not using up all my bad weather on training/training races...

12min T (3:54min/km) out through Hillsborough and into Rivelin
2x Heroes (with steady downhill 3:52m/km) in 6:07/18 (to the brow), 36/44 to the chip shop.

Tempo a bit slow but felt very comfortable, i.e. what I should be like given training! 2nd heroes a bit more of a slog than ideal but always is after not taking the downhill easy/post tempo.

Would love to be racing Langdale this weekend, feeling in fair form and like I could do some damage. Got a big weekend planned though, weekly total could exceed 100 miles.

Very easy down parks and eccy into work. Legs eased nicely and I can feel strength settling in.
Drills on Monday appear to have wrecked my abs (who knew I had any?) which are quite tender.

5x5(75) with HHS at endyP. Felt alright but not moving too speedy, had a few Woodley moments when Elen Downes was on me, which focussed the mind a bit more after the usual mid-rep lull.
