Took a break from my break to race as I love this one, and Dan, Ash and Tom were up for it.
Eccles Pike. 2nd (for the 3rd time in a row) about 40s behind Al Campbell - although he did end up in a dead end at one point and I had to direct him at least twice (flagging/marshalling a bit off).

Hit this as hard as possible, as ever, but didn't have quite enough to maintain to the summit as usual, or enough in the legs to kick on on the way down - especially on the flat bits - as there is when I'm feeling good (i.e. when I haven't run Borrowdale the weekend before). Quite comfortably clear of 3rd, but 20s behind last year/30 behind 2 years ago. Probably should have gone for a jog in the last couple of days. Team won as well with a good run from Chris in 5th and Steve in 9th.

So my slowest time overall, but one of quickest up. Wobbly legged on way down - barely done any lactate threshold work at all this year which probably explains it, so need to add that in when I get training again.
