Out to Hanley Parkrun. 2.5 laps of the park with a good drag 2.5 times, including to finish.
Settled in on the first time up the hill and let a guy with a limp get away.
Reeled him in over the next lap, catching him at the top of the hill.
Opened up a gap on the downhill and kept going on the uphill to the finish, trying for 17:30 but it just slipped, 17:34.
Good tempo run, felt leggy but running within myself.
Then back via the canal and the Trent. Not very nice.

the sites of Stoke and NUL. Put in a few fast section to remind the legs and lungs. First one pant but ensured the other 2 were downhill so felt much better.

Swynnerton. AP has allowed me to work out that 13.5km a day from now until NYE will tip me over the 4000km for the year mark, so the small part of me that's OCD is getting me out. Big headtorch, more mountain bike tracks, same number of doggers, a couple of deer and muck spreading in the nearest fields tonight. Fragrant.

easy around Swynnerton. May have been confused for a dogger when I pulled into the car park though, hastily parked closer to the road before I got changed.
there's nothing quite like perusing findaPhD.com to make you feel thick and inadequate. On the plus side I managed to make the top 10 in the FRA's 'Forumite of the year'. And there wasn't even a drunken rant.
