Other Sport (SPOOK Football) 45:00 [0]

possibly the slowest I have ever moved, but on some occasions the most I have ever laughed. O'Reilly junior tried to amputate my right foot, but it soon recovered.

Day of TOIL. Loop around Swynnerton, bit sloppy in places (these trailies ain't much good in gloop, maybe time for some Mizunos) but whenever I hit a beech section it was glorious in the sunshine. Enjoying myself so much (i.e. kept taking wrong turns and ending up at the bottom of hills) was out for longer than planned, but legs feeling much better than yesterday. Some lovely singletrack with runnable uphills right next to it, ripe for a technical running kenyan hills type sesh thingemy, I'm thinking reflexes and headtorch.

Warm up, strides.
5x[2x~90s] on the grass as the track was a little slippery. 30s between reps, 90s between sets. An easy session as John could tell we were all shattered.
wd.
Felt much better than I thought I would and better for doing this

Note

Stumbled across the Wirksworth Adventure Film Festival starting next week if it interests anyone within striking distance. Some good films on offer. Going to see Distilled and The Last Great Climb, both good reviews from KAF at the weekend. Something on Ethiopian running on the Wednesday but will see what work have in store for me before I book that.

Feeling pretty wrecked. Lots of eating early in the week and lots of sleep for all of it.

Some inetresting articles on downhill running, albeit from a more XC/road view:
