Still running on Monster. A pretty par performance, which was a surprise as I wasn't particularly thinking much. Scrappy with bearings and direction out of controls.

Other Sport (SPOOK 6-1 ShUOC) 1:00:00 [2]

Not only did I make 2 tackles, I SCORED A FACKING GOAL!! And all this was with my right foot in a football boot, my left foot in an astroturf, something I didn't realise until the end.

should have had a hat-trick really...

Popped my Pendle entry into the post before hitting up Studentville, just as all the uberich chinese students left in their BMWs.

Feeling good and floaty, a few twinges to remind me of the weekend and that, with it being cold out, a few stretches before heading out wouldn't go amiss

toes getting back to normal and legs the usual satisfying post-MM ache now. Warming my liver and gullet up this week.

Toes in a bit of a state today - all about 1.5x their normal size. Left ankle and knee not great but better as day went on Main pain is rubbing on the back of my armpits though! I've never really suffered this much after a MM, and I think I could have pushed myself harder. I felt pretty comfortable (well, as comfortable as you can on a MM). Maybe I pushed Andy a bit too hard early on each day - he has mentioned that he may have got his feeding wrong, opting for stuff that would fuel you round a very long steady effort like a BG, rather than a normal-long tougher terrain race like a MM.

Fair-play to Pete and Jonny 'Mr. 100%'. I though we could compete with them but, even without my dicking about on day 1 I reckon we would have been 20mins down, and were 17mins down on day 2 when we only lost a few minutes. Wondering about future MMs, I fancy doing one where I'm not the stronger runner to see how much I can get out of myself when I need it. Will Neill from Mercia mentioned being up for a MM when we raced earlier in the year, so I may hold him to that!
